Jinghai Ancient City Wall is located in Huilai County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province. Jinghai ancient city wall was built in the twenty-eighth year of The Reign of Emperor Jiajing of Ming Dynasty (1549), and completed in 13 years. Kangxi thirty-eighth year base (1699) rebuilt, Yongzheng five years ding Wei (1727) and repaired. The 600-meter old city wall and the east, west and north gates of Jinghai city still retain their original features after more than 460 years of history. They are symbolic buildings embodying the wisdom and perseverance of the ancient working people.
It is a well-preserved ancient city wall site in eastern Guangdong and was selected as the sixth batch of provincial cultural relics protection units in 2010. Jinghai ancient city wall is a rare stone city wall. It is built with stone strips on both sides and filled with mud. The walls are full of crenellations, with watchholes on the battlements, and the top of the wall is a racing track, about 4 meters wide. The four corners of the wall have square corner tables protruding from the outside and higher than the wall. The existing southeast and northeast corners. The long cross-shaped trunk road through four gates and the oval wall form a unique pictographic pattern of the ancient city, known as the "Elephant City". It fully embodies the Chinese traditional architectural style and planning thoughts. It is an ancient building reflecting the architectural style of Ming Dynasty. The existing ancient city wall itself is complete and solid, and was strengthened and maintained in 2006, with a stone inscription "Rebuilding the City Wall". East gate "Biao Hai Sheng Concept", West gate "Jing Hai Anlan" and north gate "Lai Yao Yonggu" stone tablets are still embedded in the gate.
