Taking advantage of the construction of the provincial abalone modern agricultural industrial park, they actively invested in the research and development of abalone prefabricated dishes. From traditional dishes to highly processed food, the traditional abalone industry is ushering in new changes.

Industry transformation, pre-made dishes have become the focus of development.

"Beginning in 2020, affected by the epidemic, abalone consumption is not good, and abalone fry is also greatly affected." On June 9, in Qianzhan Town, Huilai County, Hu Jianxiong, the head of Huilai County Hongda Aquaculture Co., Ltd. introduced , Huilai local abalone enterprises are seeking transformation. In Guangdong Haiyuanda Aquaculture Co., Ltd., the reporter saw a prefabricated dish named "Baxian Gongbao". The product draws on the famous "Buddha Jumps over the Wall" concept, and adopts the method of heating and eating to present consumers with abalone as the main ingredient. Contains Sea cucumber, shellfish, mushrooms and other high-quality accessories and dishes.

Pre-prepared vegetables are one of the fastest growing industries in recent years, and the market scale is growing rapidly. According to various data, China's pre-prepared vegetables market will reach a scale of trillions in the future. On May 26, the "Opinions of the General Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province on Accelerating the High-Quality Development of Modern Fisheries" was released, proposing that it is necessary to actively plan and carry out the promotion of aquatic product brands and the promotion of aquatic pre-made dishes, so as to cultivate new hot spots of aquatic product consumption in Guangdong.

The reporter learned from the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau of Huilai County that it has become the consensus of abalone enterprises to focus on the direction of prefabricated dishes. According to relevant sources, more than 80% of the domestic abalone market was originally sold for traditional consumption. Considering market acceptance, convenience of consumption, and brand building, ready-to-eat (such as canned) and ready-to-heat pre-cooked dishes have good market potential. On this basis, the local area is planning to build the overall development of the prefabricated vegetable industry, including the "Huilai Five Treasures" (abalone, pineapple, lychee, Longjiang pig's feet, fish balls), to achieve multi-industry integration, which is conducive to the development of more new products to develop a larger market.

Technology upgrade, and actively explore the cultivation of finished abalone.

At present, Huilai is the largest producer of abalone seed in the country. In 2021, Huilai owns more than 170 abalone seedling factory farms, with aquaculture water of 1.28 million cubic meters, and the output of abalone seedlings will reach 4.3 billion, with seedlings accounting for 50% of the domestic market. According to local industry sources, traditional fishing rafts or raft farming are vulnerable to typhoons due to coastal terrain restrictions. Over the years, the development of finished abalone farming has been slow. At present, Huilai finished abalone farming is mainly land-based factory farming, which is mainly operated by seedling enterprises. In the next 1-2 years, this situation may improve. The reporter learned from Huilai County Huashen Aquaculture Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huashen Aquatic Products") that the Guangdong (Huilai) wind-fishing integration deep-sea abalone breeding project with the company as the construction unit is accelerating the construction, and it is expected to be completed next year. put into production in the second half of the year.

Chen Huasheng, head of Huashen Aquatic Products, told reporters that the project includes wind farms, artificial reefs, cage farming, and smart fish farms, among which smart fish farms are the main source of profit. The deep-sea smart abalone breeding cage can be used in open seas with a water depth of about 20 meters. It is designed to withstand a once-in-a-century storm and has complete facilities for bait processing and feeding, electricity, communication, shipping, storage and transportation, and environmental monitoring.

After the project is put into production, a "sea-land relay grading breeding model" can be established: abalone eggs are incubated in land factories, abalone fry are cultivated, and finished abalone culture is carried out in far-reaching sea areas. A breeding platform contains three truss-type cages (water body 10,000 cubic meters). Calculated based on the breeding time of two years, the output value of each cage is more than 47 million yuan, and the annual profit exceeds 11 million yuan. The total design and construction of the project is 5 breeding platforms, which can achieve abalone output of more than 850 tons after reaching production, and build an intelligent equipment-based breeding base for abalone in southern China.

The industrial park exerts its strength to create a new business card for the marine fishery economy.

On June 2, the recommended list of Guangdong provincial-level modern agricultural industrial parks in 2022 was officially announced, and the abalone modern agricultural industrial park (hereinafter referred to as "industrial park") in Huilai County, Jieyang City was among them, which is also the only provincial-level abalone industry in the province. garden.

It is reported that the planning scope of the industrial park includes Shenquan Town, Qianzhan Town, and Huicheng Town.
